"We know that time period -- however you want to refer to it -- was extraordinarily destabilizing. We basically know the what -- a gradual winding down or outright crumbling of whatever guardrails the previous system, the pre-ZONE system, relied on -- and we know the when -- roughly the onset of the century's second quarter. What we've never really been able to agree on is the why. We know there were phenomena centered around dreams. We know there were entire swaths of the country -- again, this is pre-ZONE era -- that seemingly tore themselves apart. Or at least let themselves just kind of fade ... We hear story after story of these increasingly bizarre events that couldn't possibly ...
"I'm -- look, I'm devoting my life to exploring, to cataloging this stuff. Artifacts, content produced during that time. At least, what few were recoverable and halfway intact, once Network access re-stabilized ... But certain pieces just refuse to fit comfortably into any, like ...
"The film we're talking about, this ... record, this documentary -- if you're comfortable with that label -- is one of those. It's out there in different forms, different edits ... What I'm referring to today is, I guess, the most complete version. Though the debate about the proper order of events, or at least the location of them, continues. But, regardless, these are the facts (again, assuming you accept any of it as factual):
"There's this guy -- that's mostly how we refer to him, This Guy, since his identity remains, ah ... And the film is a travelogue, a diary of sorts, a trip through -- that time. And what he ... encounters ... What he sees, what he experiences, what he ultimately may be responsible for ...
"I mean ... you've seen it, right?"

Passage is a movie for an age in which the common understanding of reality is under constant revision. In which Someone will tell you the thing you're watching happening isn't actually happening. And maybe it's not. And maybe that Someone is yourself?
It was created by a small cast and smaller crew over the course of a tumultuous year -- on a macro level, sure, but also a personal one -- that was at times frightening, and chaotic, and puzzling, and absurd.
The vibes were not great; we tried to channel them.
Our movie is a drum-tight 84 minutes. And whatever you think it cost, it was less. And we're proud of that. And we had a great time making it. And we're thrilled to be able to share it with you.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for watching.
